Mitra, VP Sales Sidana Systems, Inc. Announces Support for Si2 CD New Orleans, LA (June 21, 1999). At the 36th Design Automation Conference (DAC), Ernest N. Morial Convention Center today, Sidana Systems, Inc. (SSI) announced support of the Si2 CD, that contains information on the Chip Hierarchicial Design Standard (CHDStd), Electronic Component Information eXchange (ECIX), Open Library API (OLA), and Si2 Labs. This CD is a collection of information serving to familiarize viewers with the organization and its projects. Si2 is an organization of industry-leading EDA, electronic systems, and semiconductor companies working together within Si2's neutral environment, developing solutions to reduce costs, simplify silicon design, and create systems that support successful product development for the demanding global marketplace. The organization is working to execute initiatives and to identify new areas for member collaboration. Leveraging proven technology and prototyping for rapid deployment of solutions, Si2 will continue to move toward establishing the framework for industry standards. Today's announcement stated that SSI can assist companies in creating databooks on-line and CD's similar to the Si2's. SSI's electronic publishing product Docsan(TM) will support these databooks in the fully indexed collections it produces for CD and website distribution. Si2 will also be distributing a custom Docsan CD at DAC. This CD contains Si2's ECIX, OLA,and the CHDStd presentations, standards, sample instances, and product information from the vendors supporting the initiative. Si2 will use the CD to demonstrate these presentaions and will distribute copies to attendees who express an interest in implementing the standards.
